About Us

Jackie and Seth met at Harvard in 2004. Jackie grew up in the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia and then in north New Jersey, and Seth grew up in Evanston, Illinois, a suburb just north of Chicago. Their first encounter was at Yom Kippur services their freshman year, and their first “date” was a meal-plan lunch in the Harvard Hillel octagonal sukkah. During their four years together at Harvard, they played in the klezmer band (and discovered their Yiddishkeyt) and were active in progressive causes.

Jackie and Seth just returned to the US after spending three years in Lausanne, Switzerland.  They are now in Pittsburgh, where Seth is starting a PhD in computer science and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University. Jackie is working towards a PhD in international history and politics at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, where she received her MA on a Fulbright scholarship in 2010.
